Stravinsky and Boulanger: Psalms and Celebrations.
The exciting and moving, “Symphony of Psalms,” by Igor Stravinsky is paired on this performance with the lesser-known works of a young Lili Boulanger (she died at age 26). Her Psalm settings are in the style of Debussy, but have Boulanger’s distinctive modern sound and powerful harmonic complexity. This performance will feature full orchestra, including harp, multiple reed instruments, and brass, with beautifully blended voices in a great performance space.

Stravinsky:  Symphony of Psalms
Lili Boulanger:  Hymne au soleil, Soir sur la plaine, Les sirenes
